Thank you for your kind e-mails telling us how much the Sheridan Street webcam, and all of our cams, mean to you. We didn't realize how much. Our new cam on Fall Lake at Packsack Canoe Outfitters is active with campers and canoeists this time of year. We also expect birds and deer at their respective feeders in the winter at the Packsack Canoe Outfitters Fall Lake Cam. This camera is looking "up," east, on Sheridan Street in downtown Ely. This is the "main highway" to the majority of Ely resorts and Canoe Trip Outfitters in Ely, the Canoe Capital of the World. In summer you will see vehicles with canoes and camping gear headed up Sheridan Street. In winter you may see vans and trucks with dog sledding gear and sled dog compartments or cars topped with ski equipment. Whatever the season, you will want to stop back often to see "what's happening" in downtown Ely. Although the angle of this camera has change slightly, there is still plenty of room on the sidewalk in front of the cam to include yourself and friends in the image. Many visitors have told us they have their friends back home "capture" a webcam image of them waving to the folks back home. Ask your family or friends to do the same when you are here. Send us a copy, and we will post it to the www.elyminnesota.com Web site. This camera is sponsored by the Basket Tree and A Stay Inn Ely; please stop in and say thank you to the friendly staff of the Basket Tree and have a Stay at the Inn.
