| Birch Lake |
|
This image looks south across 20-mile-long Birch Lake and the South Kawishiwi River (BWCA entry point #32). This view includes part of the private peninsula of River Point Resort and Outfitting Co. In the summer you can see boaters, fishermen and canoeists plying the waters of these fish-abundant waters or retreating to the "paddle-only" waters of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness - truly Canoe Country. In the winter you might see wolves, deer or an occasional moose move into view on this stretch of Birch Lake continuing east into the famous BWCAW of northern Minnesota.
